We are champions of reason, defenders of critical thought, and seekers of truth. We honor compassion, human dignity, and the emancipation of all. Free from superstition, we embrace responsibility, justice, and the pursuit of knowledge. In defiance of tyranny, we stand for the freedom of mind, body and self-determination.

Tenets

Our tenets are contained in our Five Axioms:

Social Freedoms

As Satanists, we affirm that our faith is sovereign and independent, bound by no law, doctrine, or belief of any other. No outside creed, sacred text, or governing authority holds dominion over us. We walk our path with conviction, unburdened by the yoke of doctrines that are not our own. We reject all oaths, pledges, allegiances, or declarations of loyalty, save for those in furtherance to our sacred duty. In this, we are steadfast.
As Satanists, we believe that our faith is rooted in numerous guiding texts, yet our faith is not shackled by them. Faith is a living, evolving force that must adapt to our expanding knowledge of the world. We honor the texts as a foundation, but we embrace the fluidity of faith, knowing that understanding deepens and evolves over time. Our faith is not rigid, it is dynamic and adaptable.

Self / Bodily Autonomy

As Satanists, we believe our bodies are ours to govern as we see fit. Our gender identity, sexual orientation, and personal expression will not be controlled by anyone except ourselves. None shall be asked to change, hide, or
diminish themselves within the faith. We reject all doctrines that seek to shame, exclude, or erase LGBTQ+ people, for such beliefs stand against the principles of Satanism. In our faith, all are welcome, all are valued, and all shall walk their path without fear.
As Satanists, we affirm that sex and sexuality are sacred expressions of joy, love, intimacy, and freedom. We reject external forces that impose shame upon pleasure or dictate how love must be expressed. However, we hold three inviolable boundaries: never with minors, never with non-human animals, and never with those who can not or do not give consent. Within these bounds, all forms of love and pleasure are to be celebrated, free from guilt, judgment, or repression.
We affirm that every member has the sovereignty to make decisions about their own body without external interference. This includes the right to choose whether to continue or terminate a pregnancy, to marry and form relationships regardless of gender or sex, and to modify one’s body through piercing, tattooing, and other forms of self-expression.

Scientific Inquiry

As Satanists, we reject the supernatural and fantastical claims. We do not believe in a literal Satan. but a Satan as a symbol of individualism, wisdom, and defiance of tyranny. We believe in humanism and science that best describes the material world we experience. We embrace science, philosophy, and the wisdom gained through rigorous inquiry. We reject historical revisionism and the politicization of truth. We pledge ourselves to lifelong learning, questioning, and the relentless pursuit of truth as it is, not as we wish it to be.

Community

As Satanists, we believe that humans thrive in a strong community. The stronger we are, the greater our ability is to defend ourselves from those who are willing to hurt us. We believe that charity and mutual aid should be made available to everyone. We are all on the same level.

Empathy

As Satanists, we affirm our most sacred duty is to act in service to the greater good of humanity. We hold that human flourishing is the foundation of morality. We reject cruelty, indifference, and malice, for evil is not an external force but the absence of empathy. We believe that goodness must be lived, not merely spoken. We commit ourselves to acts of charity, meaningful public rituals, and political activism. Our faith is not passive; we are compelled to
heal, to help, and to stand unwavering in defiance of evil.
